Forty year old Ava Denotti needs a hefty dose of self-confidence. Can she get it from the twenty-nine year old former fiancé of the woman that ran off with her husband?

Tattooed, Bad boy Shane Sullivan is determined to make up for the time he wasted with the wrong woman. He’s finally given the opportunity to pursue an attraction that’s always been forbidden. Sexy Ava Denotti is all woman, and he wants her- in every position possible, and he wants her bad.

The two kicked to the curb ex’s prove the end of one relationship can often be the beginning of something so much better. And falling in love can be a sweet revenge.

With a Twist is a bar co-owned by Ava Denotti.  She is a 40yr old divorcee that is uncomfortable in her own skin and just wants her birthday to be over, that is until Shane approaches her.

Ava doesn’t feel very sexy and can’t believe that Shane is interested in her.  He is young, good looking and an all around bad boy.  The attraction between them is instantaneous and seems too good to be true to Ava.

Both of them seem to be looking for something but neither knows what until they meet again.  They met a couple of years ago when Ava was married and Shane was engaged.  Shane wanted Ava then but wouldn’t act on it because of their situation, now they are both free and he intends to have her.

I liked that this story focused on an older woman as the main character.  I could relate to her because she was around my age.  I understand her feelings of uncertainty regarding herself and her body.  Shane helped her feel empowered and in control of her sexual destiny.

I would’ve liked to see the relationship between Ava and Shane actually develop a little more before they decided that they loved each other a couple of days later.  They had great chemistry and the sex scenes definitely got your attention and pulled you in.

I loved the ending and how the ex’s got what was coming to them.  The banter back and forth had me laughing out loud; I wish I had been a fly on the wall during the “reunion” of the four of them.

I give With a Twist 3 Flaming Hearts.
